Washed up on the west coast of Tasmania was a 6 meter long squid that apparently eats a fish species called blue grenadier - according to the ABCInterestingly there have been a lot of stories in the media recently about giant squid including one about the biggest one ever found 10 meters large! see:

Even more interestingly there are stories about whales being found with giant sucker marks on their bodies.
I wonder if the Japanese will go for the squid to make sushi in wholesale quantities and then try and tell us that this is their contribution to whale preservation?
